Gladyshev Vladimir Olegovich

Was born on July 20, 1966 in town Murom (Vladimir region, Russia). Russian physicist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

In 1989 he graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Optoelectronic Devices).  Between 1989 and 1991 he was a researcher at the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of BMSTU.

In 1994 he received PhD degree at the Department of Physics, BMSTU. Thesis on "Mathematical model of a long-base free-mass multibeam Fabry-Perot interferometer".

V.O. Gladyshev attends scientific seminars and conferences to listen to the reports given by the Nobel laureates Zh. Alferov, V. Ginzburg, Academicians V. Pustovoyt, A. Starobinskiy, professors  Kip Thorne, V. Braginskiy,  A. Giazotto,  L. Grischuk, V. Rudenko, Neil Ashby.

In 2001 he received Dr.Sc. degree in specialty "Optics". Thesis "New effects of optics of moving media".

Since 2003 he has been the professor at the Department of Physics at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Since 2011 he has been the Head of the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences at BMSTU.

V.O. Gladyshev is an expert in the field of optics of moving media, the theory of relativity, relativistic electrodynamics.

In 1989 - 1994 he predicted the curvature effect of the light beam trajectory in a rotating insulator; moreover he suggested a spectral method for determining the kinematic parameters of a rotating astrophysical object. Together with A.N. Morozov he constructed a theory of the multipath free-mass Fabry-Perot resonator as a gravitational antenna element and detected low-frequency optical resonance in the multipath Fabry-Perot resonator.

In 1994 - 2003 he built an interferometer and used it in his study of Fizeau effect in the rotating insulator. Furthermore, he discovered invariant properties of partial space and time differentials in Meller transformation and built a new form of transformation.

In 2007-2015 together with P.Tiunov V.Gladyshev built an automated interferometer to study the space anisotropy of the light velocities in a moving medium, researched light dragging at the speed up to 36 m/s. Together with D. Portnov he was the first to discover time reversible transients of the polarization twist in the rotating insulator. He showed that in a rotating glass the polarization twist caused by the elastic deformation exceeds the Fermi effect. For the first time a theoretical description of Luneburg space lens was given, and it was done according to the effects of optics of moving media.

V.O. Gladyshev developed a new technology of autonomous spacecraft orientation.

Since 1990 he has been organizing scientific events: conferences: "Engineering and physical problems of aviation and space technology" (Egorievsk, 1995,1997,1999, 2002), "Physical- mathematical problems of creating a new technology PhysMathTech" (Moscow, 2014), "Gravity, cosmology and continuum mechanics" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of K.P. Stanyukovich (Moscow, 2016), the Russian-Italian meeting "Towards a new generation of gravitational wave detectors" (VIRGO, Moscow State University, Bauman University, 2008).

Together with V. Pustovoyt held the International conference «Physical Interpretations of Relativity Theory» (London, Moscow, 2003-2016) http://pirt.info.

He has over 190 scientific publications.

Gold medal of the State Committee for Public Education of the USSR for the scientific work "Laser interferometer for detection of gravitational waves" in 1989.

Second prize of the Moscow Physical Society for scientific work "The Theory of free-mass Multiple-Beam Fabry-Perot interferometer in the gravitational-wave experiment" in 1993.

Associate member of the expert working group of the Expert Council of The National Research Center "Zhukovsky Institute" (http://nrczh.ru/press/english.php)

Expert of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) (http://www.rfbr.ru/rffi/eng)

In 2016 he graduated from the Moscow School of Management "SKOLKOVO" (http://school.skolkovo.ru/en/)
