July 5 - 8, 2021, Bauman Moscow State Technical University hosted the XXII International Conference on Modern Problems of the Theory of Relativity, Cosmology, and Astrophysics "Physical Interpretations of the Relativity Theory PIRT-2021".

The PIRT Conference is an international scientific event that started in 1988 and was initially held at Imperial College London once every two years, and since 2003 has been held at Bauman University in Moscow.

The XXII International Conference "PIRT-2021" aimed at discussing modern generalizations of the theory of relativity, its observable consequences; experimental verification of the theory of relativity; methods of registration of gravitational waves; effects of relativistic electrodynamics and optics of moving media; as well as astrophysical observations and space experiments.

The PIRT-2021 program was dedicated to the latest advances in the theory of gravity, cosmology, astrophysics; more than 120 researchers from 21 countries took part in the conference.

The conference welcomed well-known scientists, such as the President of the Russian Gravitational Society, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the world-renowned scientist in the field of cosmology and gravity Alexey Alexandrovich Starobinsky; a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Head of the Department of Physics Andrey Morozov; an American mathematician, topologist and professor of Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science at the University of Illinois in Chicago Louis Kauffman, the co-chairman of the International Organizing Committee - Professor of the University of Liverpool Peter Rowlands; Professor of Electromagnetism at the University of Naples Federico II, Member of the Optical Society of America Innocenzo M. Pinto and others.

The organizers and participants hope that the conference and the summer school will contribute to raising the level of education, developing and strengthening international scientific ties.

July 5, 2021, Bauman Moscow State Technical University hosted the opening ceremony of the XXII International Conference "Physical Interpretations of the Relativity Theory PIRT-2021". In a moment in which distance learning is more important than ever, the PIRT-2021 conference held in the Educational and Laboratory Building is providing an opportunity for all participants to share and present their contributions by means of modern multimedia technology, which allows presentations to be given both distantly and in person, in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. All reports are accompanied by simultaneous conference interpreting.

Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Laboratory Building, will host the Summer Youth School “Gravity, Cosmology and Astrophysics” from 5 to 15 July 2021.

The program is intended for enthusiastic senior students majoring in theoretical physics. The working languages of the School are Russian and English.

One of the School's main goals is to attract talented Russian young people to scientific research in the field of fundamental physics and get them to know the main problems, ideas, and research methods of the modern theory of gravity and cosmology. The School is dedicated to the latest discoveries in the field of gravity, cosmology, astrophysics.

World-famous scientists from 7 countries will take part in the event. Plenary lectures will be delivered by RAS academicians Vladislav Pustovoit and Alexey Starobinskiy.

Information about the School is on the website https://pirt.bmstu.ru/ru/summer-school/
